Before you join read some of our policies:

1. Checking Mail Boxes and working hours:

Every new member should decide the number of working hours he/she is willing to volunteer for Dar al-Tarjama.

Checking mails must be done at least once per day. You don't have to reply on all the mails you get, if nothing is urgent. Members who don’t check their mail regularly or have full mail boxes all the time will be sent a notice.

2. Deadlines Policy:

Any assignment delayed more than one week with a translator will be automatically given to another free translator to do it, since it will not be fair to have a member delay an assignment for so long, whereas other members are free and ready to do the job. The team leader will, however, remind the translator about the delayed deadline 2 or 3 days prior to sending the assignment to other translators. In any case, translators are allowed to ask for ONE extension in their deadlines and this extension must be approved by the team leader. Members with more than 3 deadline delays per month will be sent a notice.

3. Being Excused:

It is not allowed for members to just vanish or they stop responding all of a sudden. Please be kind enough to inform us before you leave for any reason, send us a small mail with the time you’ll need to be away, and another one right after you come back to tell us that you’re with us again. Members who vanish for more than 3 weeks without any reply or prior notice will be sent a notice.

4. Forfeit of Memberships:

The membership of any member who gets more than 2 notices shall be forfeited.
